Literature of the Seas: Voyages

Semester at Sea F/2008: Literature SEMS 480-9

When we discover in this world no earth or rock to stand upon but only shifting sea and sky and wind, the mature response is not to lament the loss of fixivity but to learn to sail.  James Boyd,

I am pleased to welcome you to our course, ‘Literature at Sea.'  We are embarking on a remarkable sea voyage of rich and unique possibilities for intellectual growth and creative reflection. I am very excited to meet you all onboard ship in September. Please enjoy exploring the links on the sidebar, where you will find our Course Description  and Assignment Guidelines, our Course Schedule with due dates and reading requirements. You will also find my Journal Page and an ever growing list of resources and useful websites.  I will be building this space through-out the month of August, so please do return and follow my progress as I design each class. Enjoy. If the sidebar on the right does not appear, click 'sidebar' at the top.
